I have a 2000 lesabre it looks like it has a air pump down by the abs pump is that cali emissions can it be removed i am in ohio
my 2002 bonneville does not have this pump anybody know ?

Yes, its cali emissions. You can remove it, but to entirely remove the system, you have to go as far as swapping the rear exhaust manifold. There isn't anything wrong with keeping it, so I'd just leave it alone.

dkc, unfortunately you can't remove it in our area. As you know we have ECheck and the scanner they use will detect it's been removed. I'm pretty sure removing it will trigger a CEL.

Ok thanks guys for the response just seemed funny that my buick has it and the bonneville dosen't with the same motor .
but i will just leave it alone the buick runs good enough just the way it is.
