Is there any tricks to get the y pipe to not leak? I have it on there and clamped so the clamp is hanging over just a little. Should I move it so the whole band of the clamp is on just the y pipe??

Thanks, Keith

You're talking about exhaust right? Weld it.

brought it back to my exhaust place they cant weld it with it still install and I found out that my clamps were not tighten all the way. I just went out and move them back a little bit so they are no longer over hanging the entrance to the Y pipe and I got them as tight as I can and sealed the crap out of it .

Just went out to test it and stills leaks :banghead: What would be the best plan of attack? Weld the Y pipe to the crossover or weld the Y pipe to the rear header and then clamp what ever one doesn't get welded? I bet either way this is going to be a nightmare cause I already have my cat welded to the downpipe and stock exhaust.

I went through this with my Pacesetters. I ended up using regular U-bolt exhaust clamps because they actually pinch the metal. Never had anymore leaks.

Thanks for the info, Ill have to pick up a set of those tomorrow 3inch right? Did ypu have a problem if you Y pipe was on to far that the down pipe wouldn't bolt up? Cause I got mine on and tap it with a rubber hammer a few times and then the down pipe would not line up. Im just hoping that its not to far down now.
