This car shocks me everytime I get out of it. Is there a common ground issue I need to look at?

Every now and then this thing idles rough on start up, only for a second or two then clears up no problem. It also stalls sometimes when shifted into reverse for no reason. My old 02 SSEI also would idle rought on start up at times. When I ask the dealer about it with that car they could not diagnose it.

1: Get an old serpentine belt or some other rubber, cut enough so just the tip drags on the ground and take a sheet-metal screw and attach it to a solid piece of steel on the under-carriage. That will dissipate the static charge.

2.) Sounds like a vacuum leak or a TB that needs cleaning.

How long will the belt fix last? I would think that it would wear down pretty quick? Thanks

The car currently has almost 65K miles on it

Check the main ground near the battery where its attached to the body.... Some were known to have paint instead of bare metal...
