About how much would be consider a good price to replace a water pump on a 02 Bonneville ? Parts and Labor

It depends on a lot of things. What are their labor rates and how much they mark up the pump. Pumps usually run $20-30 without a mark up and the labor can be as much as $90/hr and if they figure 2 hrs.

You are looking at approx $300 if you were to take it to a dealer. You will need to call or visit a few shops and get a quote.

Most of us here would do this on our own since it is a pretty simple task.

Now granted mines an SE but when I changed mine it was recommended I use a WP from and older SSEi because of the way the impellers are. I used a new one for a 93 SSEi.
The impellers are case for an older WP and new ones are stamped. This is suppost to help keep airpockets from forming among other things.
Only other thing you'd need to do is use a pulley for the 93 WP because newer Wp pulley won't fit.
Other then that everythings the same.
Mine works very well. No problems.
Maybe one of the others can explain the exact reason for using an older style WP better.
