my 2000 bonneville has lost power and smells funny. i looked under the car and the catalytic converter was glowin bright red wanted to know if it was bad or if it was something else. someone said that it could be the o2 sensor to. and if its the o2 sensor does it go in the front of the cat. or after? thanks for you help. plase answer soon cause need to get the part tomorrow so i can fix it thanks.

The cat glowing is a good sign it is running rich. Is the engine light on? Have you scanned it for codes? Do you know if the O2 sensor has ever been changed?
