I did a pressure test on my 03. The pressure slowly went from 15 to 13 over about 4 minutes.

Is that a sign of any problem? I found one how-to-do-it on the internet that said a pound a minute loss was not a problem.

It should hold pressure indefinitely, or at least longer than 4 minutes...

I'd investigate a leak.

Was it warm when you tested, or stone cold?

It was warm but had cooled an hour or so.

Contraction could also account for pressure dropoff. Did it keep dropping, or seem to level off the colder it got?

I'll try it after the engine has cooled all day... Contraction may have been what was happening.

I should have thought of that...

I don't think 4 minutes of cooling could lose 2 PSI. Maybe .5 at the most.

I redid it after the motor cooled the next day. It was slightly warm and pressure dropped a little over an hour or so. I left it on overnight and it still showed 12 pounds this morning.
