Just get a filter kit with a gasket included. The odds of your stock pan gasket being bad are about .01%.

i did get the filter but i got it from a local parts store, doesn't include the gasket. they wanted 30 dollars for the gasket,

but if your saying theres a slim chance in me needing a new one maybe ill just get it as a back up then return it after

the project. thank you

The odds of yours being bad are almost none. It's a rubber gasket with a metal inner frame, it's designed to be re-used indefinitely.
