Year and Trim: 2000 Pontiac Bonneville

I have had a/c issue. Have had compressor replaced, system charged. Now blowing cold on passengers side, but not drivers. It's 115 outside, I'm melting!!! The blend doors that can be reached are in working order. Have been informed that problem lies behind the dash. Any ideas. Heve been quoted $1000-1200 for repairs. It it worth attempting DIY???? :sadeyz:
