Hey everyone,

I don't like starting posts for no reason but I did some searching and couldn't find out anything definitive in my case.

Feels like an engine/trans mount is bad on the car again. I changed the front mount to a solid mount back when I bought the car, and an investigative look with the help of the girlfriend showed that the two side mounts in the wheel well were in good shape. The only mount left is the rear transmission mount, and I can't see it at all to be able to see if it's bad.

Symptoms are: Upon any acceleration, gentle or sudden, and from a dead stop, there's a fun creaking/thumping noise for a split second.

Control arm bushings and subframe mounts are all intact and pretty. Same with the strut mounts. My questions is, is this a fair assumption that this mount is bad? While searching, I HAVE read that evidently the rear mount design is kinda crummy.

How difficult is it to change on my own with a set of ramps? Any write-ups or tutorials?

EDIT: Another symptom is downshifting similar to a bad front mount. Kinda bouncy and sudden.
