I was replacing my rear shock mounts when I notice my rear brakes hanging up. Checked the parking brake cable and it moves fine with no sticking. The hang-up seems to be in the calipers themselves. The inboard pad has 20% lining so I'm going to complete a brake job with new rotors. So a few questions:

1) Are the rear OEM pads ceramic?
2) Has anyone else had this issue and is the solution new calipers?

Have run a few searches and have not seen where rear calpers were a weak spot on the 2000+ Bonnevilles.

Yes, just happened on both our cars. Replacing the calipers, pads and rotors is the permanent solution. I think they just get bound up inside or stuck or rusted or whatever. New calipers and pads fixed it on the GXP and should fix it on the SSEi.
