Hi, I'm in the process of removing my fuel sending unit to repair the gas gauge inaccuracy. I'm following the procedure from this site found here:

It seems the plastic piece of the fuel sending bucket is too large to fit through the hole in the trunk. I don't want to try to force it for fear of breaking something. Is there a trick to getting the sending unit up through the hole in the trunk floor?

Year and Trim: 2004 GXP - plus a handful of other Bonnevilles

Force. Every one that I have pulled out has been very tight. Try twisting it while pulling up, just be careful not to bend the float arm.
