So I was going to try to install my trans cooler this afternoon, but I hit a HUGE snag. I was expecting a flared 3/8 NPT line, but instead I got this:

It takes a 3/4" or 19mm wrench, and the threads appear to be around 11/16 or 5/8". Any idea what the fitting size is and how I make it work? I wasn't sure whether to put this in here or P&B, please move it if you must.

You can go to Napa and get matching fittings with barbs for hoses or other fittings. Just ask them about the transmission cooler line fittings. I had to get some when I did mine and they had them in the bulk drawers behind the counter. I don't know how you will match it to a fitting on the car unless they have a hose in stock or you take the whole hose in.

Don and I talked about it in chat and I'm going to cut the line (with a tubing cutter of course) and double clamp the hoses to each end. If I need to bypass my cooler I'll just hook the rubber lines together.
