Hi All

The other day my passenger rear window wouldn't move and was making a sound that didn't sound good at all. I took the regulator out and found the cable was all kinked up and broken. I got a new cable and spool from the junk yard and went to put it all back together and I cant get it all the together. There is too much tension on the line. I was wondering if there is some kind or trick or a writeup on how to replace the cable.

Thanks Keith

Pull tighter, not kidding. I have removed part of that spring before to get them back together.

I did the same thing. I cut about 5 coils out of the spring and still couldn't get it. The nut that's in the spring was bottoming out. I just wantsnt sure how much I could pull on it.

I use a large screwdriver for leverage to get the spool back in place. Put the cover over the spool, then slide a long screwdriver in the center of the cover and the spool. Put the tip of the screwdriver in the center of the bottom of the regulator where the tip of the motor goes.
