Year and Trim: Currently searching for a Bonneville...
Tonight while doing 70mph on the interstate, I noticed several cars in front of me driving erratically and was so transfixed on those cars swerving back and forth that I didn't notice the seemingly queen-sized box spring lying in my lane. By the time I noticed it, I had a semi in my right hand lane and only had the choice of braking for dear life.

By the time I reached the box spring, above the noise of the abs solenoids, I let off the brake and the right side of the car cruised over the box spring at about 10-15 mph. Afterwords there was no damage to the exterior, but I believe I can feel a vibration when turning right at highway speeds now. Any chance this hit could have affected my alignment?

Coulda, do a visual inspection on your own and then proceed to a reputable mechanic/alignment shop. Things happen, wheel weight mightg of gone bye bye

It is possible tires could have taken damage as well. Full inspection is in order.

BTW, good call on letting off the brakes and getting the nose up.

Definitely get it in and get everything inspected. Tell the mechanic what happened and what you feel, and ask for him to check and balance the tires, and to inspect the suspension at the least.

This is why I make sure my *shoot* is strapped down TIGHT when I'm hauling stuff....
