Just a quick question about the seat memory. I can set it in one spot, then turn the car off, come back later, and my seat is moved forward. Either I have a ghost that likes messing with me, or the memory has a malfunction. Is there a way to reset the memory?

Are you unlocking the car with the remote?

If you set your memory to driver #1, and then unlock the car with the #2 remote, the seat will go to the #2 position.

Figure out which # (1 or 2, should say on the back) your remote is, then set all your info (seat position, radio pre-sets) to where you want it, then press and hold the memory seat button that corresponds to it and boom. Even if someone else has been driving your car, once you hit lock or unlock it will return to your pre-sets.

If someone has installed a remote starter or VATS bypass it can do
strange things to the dual driver system with keyless remotes.
I have a remote starter and I finally had to turn off the seat memory
function on the DIC for the key fobs because they would mess up. I just press
the button on the door to get the seat to change before I sit down
after my wife has driven the car.

Okay the remote is #2 and I do use that all the time, so maybe that is the problem, so I'll take your advice, and thanks. Its just its irritating to constantly move your seat back to where its supposed to be.

All you have to do is push the memory button? Not THAT hard ;)

Well, I'm sure it would have beeped twice, but I put my own radio in it, but don't have the CDI wiring harness that would allow it to beep.

- And I also did notice that when I use the remote unlock, it moves the seat forward, despite setting the seat memory where I want it.

Try holding it for 10+ seconds. I'm 99% sure there is nothing wrong with your car, you just aren't using the functions properly.

Move the seat all the way back, and then hold the Memory button #1 for 10 seconds, dont move the seat, and then hold the Memory button #2 for 10 seconds. Stay sitting in the car with the remote. Lock the car with the remote, and then unlock. Does the seat move?

Lol, seat moves still. Im not sure what the deal is with the car, but no memory is stored for the seats, just the one that it was set to when i got the car.

I'm having exactly the same issue. It's not the end of the world but I have to press the seat button before I get in because it won't retain the setting for the remote.

Did you go into the Personalized Programming on the DIC and make sure that the "move seat" (or something like that) is turned on?

Car cant beep until I get the right wiring harness for the radio. And ill check the DIC to make sure that a setting is on for that. If this doesnt work, oh well i guess, I just wont bother with it then.

Even if you can't hear it beep.....just hold the button for a slow count to ten. It takes more time than you think if you can't hear the beep.

If that doesn't work then the program is corrupted or the controller has lost a soldered connection.

When the cruise control went on the Jeep after 20 years, it would always go to the speed that it was normally set at no matter what you did with the controls. 130
