Ok, first off, your oil pressure should be going up while you accelerate. The oil pump is spun by the engine. What is the approximate pressure it goes from at idle to when you accelerate?

Secondly, it all depends on your driving. If you drive all city, lots of stop and go and punch it from every light, you won't get good mileage. What have you done for maintenance? The best I've gotten with my car is around 26 on the highway.

when i have it idling at 40 which is half way when i accelerate goes up to 3 to 4 lines past the 40 psi.
also on the gas i drive like maybe no more then 5 miles to work and the thing says on the comp 13.4 mpg high way i see a lil difference but the comp doesn't change the mileage stays at 13.4
when i got the car i did almost any thing i could do spark plugs ac delco iridium new wires from car quest sea fomed the car twice a week apart from each other new air filter royal purple oil fuel filter
other things i did was new ac pump
coolant and radiator new
water pump
tensioner
belts

and the things i know i need to do is
the wheel hubs
rear passenger window actuator

Reset your average fuel economy on the DIC. If it's been a lot of miles it won't move much. When it's displayed on the screen, press and hold the reset button till it goes to 0.0. Do you manually figure out your mileage? The DIC is only accurate to +-2 MPG, usually on the high side.

Your oil pressure sounds 100% normal.

Also, I don't really feel RP is worth the money. I got some on sale once and it didn't seem magical, so I switched back to Pennzoil Platinum. But, it's not going to hurt anything either.

That's probably your culprit. I always hand calculate my mileage (miles driven / gallons burned). That's the most accurate method.

Fill your tank full if money allows. Reset your gallons used and reset your trip. When you get down to about empty take the miles on your trip and divide by the gallons used. Or fill up to full again and how ever many gallons you put in use that as your gallons used and divide your miles traveled on trip by that. DIC isnt horribly accurate, IMO, close but can be off.

Also if your foot is in it all the time, MPGs are horrid.

Royal purple is def not worth the money for a DD. If you have a $10000 race engine, then yes use it. RP has additives in it that conventional oil does not, hence the hefty price tag.
