Driver's side, under the car about where the rear door is. Make sure you have all tools necessary before you start this bevause if it is rusted or stuck you will need the proper wrences and o rings to get the new one on without any leaks. Do a search on fuel filters here and you will see a few issues people have had . Learn from our mistakes. Good luck! ;)

All the info you need: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15756 (Filter is the exact same for all 00+).

Ya IMO spray the crap out of corroded fitting with deep-creep a few days ahead or you might just have a nightmare of twisted wreckage (and with the pressure developed in these lines, I doubt if you can use rubber hose to replace any fuel line fubr's) so any damages will likely mean new fuel line. And lube up afterwards to offset corrosion on the fitting and line.

Hit the fitting with some penetrate beforehand. Also spinning the filter on the fitting will help prevent damage to the line.
