It was intermittent at first but is now always on. The code is for:
"LF/Driver Frontal Deployment Loop (Single Stage or Stage 1) Open"

Could this be the SIR coil in the steering wheel?

Any ideas on narrowing this down?

The SIR coil is one possibility. It could also be caused by a bad connection, or if the inflatable restraint steering wheel module is bad.
