The turn signal in my sis's car won't automatically shut off any longer, so I need to get in there and repair it for her. I searched and found a thread describing how to disassemble it, but it didn't mention anything about the airbag. What do I need to do to ensure it doesn't go off? I've never been into a steering column before, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I was always told to disconnect the battery and wait 15mins, and the airbag should deploy when you mess around with it.

Wheels straight ahead. Ignition switch to lock. Remove key. Disconnect negative battery cable. Pull the airbag fuse. Remove hush panel. Pull locking pin and disconnect the yellow connector that leads to the steering wheel airbag at the base of the steering column. Negative cable can now be connected if need be. Handle the airbag as if it is going to deploy. Procedure is described in Chilton's 28200.

As soon as you get this done, would you mind coming over to my house and doing mine?

In the alternative, some pics would be nice.
