Hi I currently own a 1994 SSEi and we think there is something a matter with the engine
Well my question is that I am looking to buy a 1992 SSEi and am wondering how many of the parts from the 94 will work on the 92
If you guys could tell me what I could and could not use on the 92 would be greatly appericated

Pretty much the whole exterior is the same isn't
I heard that there were differences with the engine though


edit:Would I have better luck with a different year is there another year that would closer and what are the differences
Also why dont you guys just post all the differences of all the years from 1992 to 1995 for the SSEI

Plenty of parts can go onto the '92. What changed in the engine department on your '94 was an upgraded supercharger and throttle body, PCM update (and its not backwards compatible), EGR system, and roller pivot rockers. The 1992 can't upgrade to those rockers unless you change the heads.

Bodywise, almost everything will swap over. Instrument cluster electronics was different starting in 1994, as was the ECC.

2000 SSEi - Resurrection in progress. Built L67 w/L32 fuel rail, ported heads, and cam. Camaro front brake system, GXP cluster, and much more in planning.

The EGR changed in 94, not swappable. Front exhaust manifold changed in 93, swappable between 92/93 if you swap the EGR pedestal, not sure about 94/95. The radio changed in 94, swappable with some wiring I think. I think the tranny wiring changed somewhere, I'm not sure of compatibility. Wheel options changed here and there, all swappable.
