Mine flashes when it's cold and not warmed up. At first, I thought it was just the display. Now I think it's something in the computer because at 15* outside, the whole thing disappeared, then chimes started going off left and right and it was showing everything yellow (all doors open, out of gas, etc). It fixes itself after like 5 minutes of driving, however. Sometimes even the HUD freaks out. How complicated is it to replace this thing considering it houses the odo?

there is a chip on the back of the cluster that stores the mileage, easy to swap

not on the 92-99 era...
