Well the old 95 ssei finally died out, the car would turn over but there was no fuel, I had the car towed to the stealership and thats were the fun began, I let them order the parts which they said that I needed (fuel pump and fuel sending unit) They were back ordered so I went on a search for an acdelco units, I found the parts and purchased them far cheaper than the stealership, I took the parts to them and had it installed on the car, sure as *shoot* the mechanic never checked to make sure the pump was the right one before installing it, Go to get the car and they tell me its not ready becuse the pump is bad, wtf, now I had them order the new pump, and have them reinstall it, 2.6hrs plus, multiplied by 2 times.

The fuel pump code was CAB (original), anyone have the correct Acdelco number for this pump,

sorry about the rant just stuck in a place right now lol

2.6 hours? Holy crap. I just installed a fuel pump and sending unit in my 93 Bone and the book time was only 2 hours. Checked some of my parts supplier websites and yes thats the right fuel pump.

I had the same problem when I ordered the fuel pump for the 97 Ei, the book states all except SSE when it should state all except SSEi. The reason I got the wrong one is they gave me the non S/C pump/sending unit.

Glad to hear it worked out.
