My dash is starting to come unglued , center by windshield. I have hear that 3M weatherstripping glue is the product to use. Has anyone done this project and what glue did you use?

On my wife's Jaguar x-type the dash was coming up in the same location. I put 3m plastic trim adhesive under it and wedged it down by stuffing what I could between it and the windshield for 24 hours. It's been holding for the past 4.5 years, not garaged.
