I am having problem with my roof rails, if that is what they are called. The rubber mounting strip that runs along the top of the roof, windsheild and doors. It has started to deform and sections have split. Can this be replaced and how?

Just how are these replaced? If I find a pair in junk yard I would like to remove them, without damage. Are they glued or just snap in?

Hex head screws hold them in. You can see them with the doors open.
