I need to replace the 4 subframe body mount bushings on 95 bonne se. The front 2 near bumper seem good and compressed still. Can i do this with jack and stands or should i pay a shop 200-250 labor? I have basic tool, i do have torque wrench. I found 4 new bushing kits w hardware and free shipping 180. There like 70 a piece at local store. Also ive seen alot of color coded bushing combo and differnet hardwares. Should i get oem?

hi, yes you can raise car and use jackstand for car - then use jack to support and lower subframe
can be done if you have the proper jacks....good luck

No engine hoist needed. Jack up car, then put jack stands under car, then use the jack to support the sub frame. Loosen bolts a little and lower the sub frame a little. Go slow and don't lower farther than you need to to get the bushings out. I'd work on one side at a time. I'd spray the snot out of everything with PB Blaster a couple of times starting a day ahead of time to allow it to penetrate so it'll be an easier job. loosen the opposite side to allow the side you're working on to be able to move down enough.
You've got this man!

Be aware that very often the problem is that the subframe itself has rotted, due to the effects of winter road salting.
When this happens the holes becomes too large and then the subframe can drop down, as the bushings are no longer supporting the frame.
The holes are supposed to be form fitted to the bushing, not round.
