I recently replaced the blower motor and resistor and now my heater continues to run when the car is shut off what can cause this because even when heater is off it pulls on battery causing it to go dead

Was it a new resistor or junkyard part?

More than likely the resistor, happend to me one time. I found myself unplugging the blower motor every time I left the car for a while.

if you have the ECC i have also had same problem. in my case i pulled fuse from panel located over resistor (sometimes referred as BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE).

By any chance, do you have the electronic leveling control? If so try pulling the maxi fuse for the ELC under the dash and see if that fixes your problem
I had this EXACT same problem last year, and it turned out to be a shorted out air pump behind the rear passenger wheel. A hole had been sand blasted right through the motor casing because of the absolutely ridiculous location it was put.

Alternatively, start pulling maxi-fuses one by and until you isolate which circuit is causing your short, but I'm willing to be it's your ELC if equipped.

You have ECC (electronic climate control) confused with ELC (electronic level control). The OP is having an issue where the heat is not turning off. Not the suspension.

to help isolate problem, pull fuse F3 (3rd from left), 30 amp, located in the MAXIFUSE/RELAY PANEL midway the firewall under the hood. the blower motor should stop.
