Does anyone happen to have a picture or diagram of the front end suspension of our cars? Something is loose causing a knock when I hit bumps, and I'm not entirely sure what it is. I believe it to be the stabilizer bar, but I can't be sure. There also appears to be some grease on the lower control arm of the side that knocks. No symptoms of a bad CV joint though, so hopefully that's not it. :hail:

Could be a number of things. You don't need a diagram to figure our suspension out, its extremely simple.

My first few suspects would be upper strut mount, sway bar bushing, or sway bar endlink. Much anything else and you'd have a big problem with keeping the car on the road.

Do you keep your tie rods and ball joints greased?

I agree, I think it's the sway bar endlink, and as I've gotten the joint under better light, I believe it to be somehow completely disconnected. I'll try to get some pictures ASAP, but to be honest I haven't driven it much, and it definitely hasn't been through any rough terrain as of late (other than speed bumps).

I have had this knock sound going on since I got the car, but it's not completely regular. It will knock one time across a speed bump and not again for a while. I always take them slowly, too. I had posted about it as an asside before, and had greased the upper strut mount. It stopped for a while but reoccurred. I don't know how I would've never noticed this lower control arm issue, so it may be new, or maybe i'm blind.

Anyhow I got the car last March and haven't had it in the shop for anything other than a brake change. I would assume if this was the case when they changed my brakes they'd have noticed.. i'm going to try to get this fixed ASAP because it needs re-inspected this month too :/.
