Hello, total newbie here and it's my first post! hoping to solve this annoying problem here and I am seeking for help.

My 94 Bonneville started making squeaking noises (similar to bed squeaking noises, metals hitting against each other) whenever I steer towards the left.

I looked it up on the internet and someone suggested that it might be the lack of power steering fluid. I checked the fluid level and it was low, so I filled it up yesterday and the squeaking noise still persists!

Here are some things that I noticed about the squeaking.
- It squeaks only from the front left wheel
- When parked, turning the wheel left will not lead to squeaking noises
- I haven't noticed any mechanical problems while driving except the annoying noise.
- When driving straight, or turning right, there are no squeak noises. However when driving straight towards even slightest to the left, it squeaks.

Bonneville is my first car and I would like to take it as a project to learn about the mechanics of the cars and eventually get into detailing!

Any inputs are appreciated!!

Check the backing plate to see if it may be rubbing against the rotor when you make your turn.
