I am considering doing a rebuild on my transmission and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove the valve body bore plugs in order to check out whats inside?

Thanks in advance

there are clips that hold caps in I believe. It's been a while, the last one I had open was a 700r4, and it uses clips, roll pins, and snap rings. But I think it's just clips in the 4t65.

Thanks for your reply. Double checking the documentation I have It appears you are correct. I was thrown off by the line boost valve bore plug which appears to have the retainer going through the reverse boost valve bushing, and the 2-3 Accumulator valve bushing retainer.
