Year and Trim: Se stock for now
:beerchug: So i just spent 2 grand getting the bonne out of impound so my budget has shriveled but i havent given up yet.
Im into handeling over HP and could use advice on the best way to spend my money.
I have the fe1 package (99 SE). So far all i have done is the energy poly endlinks on the rear, fronts are on the way. Im interested in the coil rite (or firestone) bolt in air bags and doing all the subframe bushings with energy or other type of poly's. Iwill also get 4 new struts but probably stick with the stock springs. I would like to upgrade frnt and rear sway bars but only if i could get them 2nd hand. Its a daily driver not a race car but i like to drive and live in a rural area with some nice roads.
1. Are the "ride leveling" airbags worth it
2. I know i have 18mm rear but whats the diameter of the front sway bar
3. On the rear sway there are 2 hanging brackets what are the best ones to replace them All i can find are ac delco with rubber, is that all ther is

Your handling will be partly based on the springs as well... The F41/FE2 Bonnevilles used springs with a higher load rating... The F41 Bonnevilles never used load level in the rear... The FE2 did use load level and that factored into the suspension dynamics...

a stock SE would have an 18mm rear bar and 30mm front bar..

The F41 and FE2 Bonneville had a 22mm rear bar and a 32mm front bar..

On my Bonneville( 95 SE ) I used the 95 SSEi Moog Variable Rate springs, 1230 Lb load rated for the rear and iirc 550 Lb for the front... Used Monroe Matic Plus struts on the front, and Monroe matic air struts on the rear... I added the lines for my manual fill and run them at about 20 Psi... Car is not overly stiff but does have a firm ride... I have been quite happy with this from day one... Still am... I also installed the F41/FE2 sway bars...

The bushings iirc can be had from moog for both front and rear... For the end links most of us like the energy suspension parts... A few changes will make a pretty good handling car...
