Last time my 98 Bonneville was in for service, a tech noticed it was missing a "bolt on the engine cradle", and that they were not able to locate a suitable replacement. They told me the bolt was 12MM x 1.75 x 92.

The GM parts guy said that bolt was discontinued by GM, and he had nothing further to offer.

I have submitted requests to various used auto parts sources on the internet, no positive response as of yet. They say go to the dealer.

The GM guy said look for something at the hardware store, but that's what my service guy did I believe. Anyway I'm not going to take the engine off to go walk around to a bunch of hardware stores with a bolt in my hand, probably futilely.

Any suggestions?

Local junkyard. Most should have many at there disposal.

I guess I'll try that further. The one I called, the closest one, said they don't keep stuff that old, he had no idea where I would get it and I should order it from the dealer.

Called the dealer parts guy again, he said it is GM part # 1157955, Frame bolt, FWIW.
