I had ddalder scan my car because of an SRS light. The Tech2 came up with two errors:
1018 and 1071.
What do these mean? What can I do to fix this?

Here's what they mean:

DTC B1018 Passenger Deployment Loop Short to GND
DTC B1071 Internal SDM Failure

How to fix? I am not well versed in this area, but might start by pulling the airbag fuse. Then check for water damage to the airbag controller (is that under the passenger seat?) And, as the code implies, check for a wire grounding on the passenger bag circuit.

Hopefully others will chime in for you.

Check the fuse first as mentioned, then the airbag control module. It is under the passenger seat carpet (once you get the seat out, you will see the bulge). don't forget to disconnect the power seat wiring if you have it. Mine was covered in corrosion, and there was piles of that nasty dust on the circuit board. got a new one from a junkyard for $60 and it fixed the problem.. but i know Harofreak00 had the same issure, and the module did not fix it.. I guess i just got lucky.
