I'm having a rough idle problem but noticed when i unplug the injectors on one side 2,4,6 there is no difference in how the engine runs even with all 3 unplugged.. Have tried one at a time on that side and still the same. Could i be missing a fuse for these somewhere? 1,3,5 are fine

The same fuse supplies power to all six injectors. The pink/black wires have 12 volts while the key is in the run position. I'd start by checking the voltage of all six pink/black wires.

If 2,4 & 6 don't have 12 volts then check the wiring for damage.

If all six have 12 volts then check for injector pulse with a node light or #194 automotive light bulb.

Report back if 1,3,5 have pulse & 2,4,6 don't.

If all six have pulse then check compression on all six cylinders.

I swear I've seen this problem before but I'm not recalling the cause... Do the two banks have seperate grounds?

Not that I recall. All 6 share the same ground through the PCM.

Ok, then to me it seems like the PCM or damaged wiring.

We need to know if there's injector pulse or not.

Remove a 194 bulb from a taillight, and bend the wire contacts outward. They will then plug into each injector connector. It should glow when you crank the engine (disconnect all 6 connectors first so you don't flood the engine while doing this).

OK let me go into exausting detail. All wires have 12 volts. All injectors checked out with 15 ohms. All wires pulse when turning over the engine. While engine is running and unplugging wires 1,3,5 one at a time engine boggs down. Unplugging wires 2,4,6 has no effect on the engine weather one at a time or all at once. Engine revs up fine EVEN with all 3 injectors (2,4,6) unplugged. Replaced plugs, plug wires, checked coil pack and ICM all good. I cant beleive the the engine could run with only one side getting fuel.

I'd suggest you aren't getting any spark on the back bank, but that would rule out any spark because the spark plugs fire in pairs.

If you start the engine and let it run with a bulb in one of the injector connectors, does it light up?

Make sure the rear spark plug wires are going to the correct cylinders. If that checks out then check the compression.

Update.. Good compression, good spark all plugs and cylinders... Let me restate once again.. the injectors 2,4,6 unplugged DO NOT change the running of the engine. and all injectors checked out all injector wires checked out.

It's weird enough that I would try a different PCM.

I guess we were assuming the rear cylinders were not firing when the rear injectors were unplugged. I'm now thinking that you're saying the rear cylinders might be firing even though the injectors aren't plugged in.

Try checking the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator for any signs of fuel leaking past the diaphragm. Hmmm, now that I typed that it seems that would also supply fuel to 1,3 & 5. Maybe the rear injectors are leaking fuel. We've seen very little trouble with fuel injectors & it's hard to believe something would happen to all three rear injectors.

Are you driving the car with the rear injectors unplugged or just letting it idle?
