The car has been sitting for couple years, someone ran into the back. I'm fixing the damage & I replaced the radio.
I installed the radio & I notice the left rear speaker wasn't working so I checked the power & ground and in the process I blew a fuse. I replaced the 10A fuse. Now the car won't crank over for some reason. I checked the driver side fuses via test light & visual, same on the passenger side & test light under the hood. One of fuse relays on the passenger side clicks every time I try to start it, I changed it out with a another relay and nothing changed. I did jump start the starter & fired right up but it dies in like 5 seconds.
The security light blinks.
I'm lost on what to check.

Have you disconnected the battery(for 12 seconds) and reconnected and try to start after that?

I did that, left it for about 10 minutes.

Double check all the fuses. Triple check 1a & 2e, both are 10 amp & used by the security system.

I doubt this relates but when I was working on my radio I left the interior lamps (and she has LOADS of them) on for the period and the car wouldn't start after the work was done. After a jump start everything was fine. A mechanic/friend told me I had enough power for everything else but not enough to crank the starter. I'd heard a rapid clicking which I learned is the "solenoid" that activates the starter, If there isn't enough juice behind it. All you get is clicks and no VROOOM. Confused about why it would run for 5 secs and stop but sometimes unrelated things happen at the same time. After sitting as long as she has you may be experiencing two semi-unrelated issues. The security light may also mean something, you have the manual? If not let me know and I'll see if mine suggests anything. ~Good luck.

I'll double check the fuses tomorrow & see what happens.
It might be the vats problem. :banghead:

Was it just a fuse or did you have to bypass the ignition switch contacts?
