So my heads up display has been working fine till today. I drove it and i could not see it at all. i played with the mirror angle and still could not see anything. So after a while of driving it the display pops up on the windshield and then gos away. a few min. later same thing i see it and then it gos away. Is there a bulb going bad in there or how dose this work. How do i fix this. thanks.

If you sit up really close to the dash can you see the display on the windshield or in the unit itself? The projector is adjusted by a cable connected to the slider on the dash and the cable can kink allowing slack for the projector to gradually work its way to the down position where it is difficult to see on the windshield if you are not 6'6". Otherwise here are the wiring diagrams for it.

The wrong position can hide it. I know my 93 is cable driven (my 95 has no HUD), but HUD's went electric motor driven, but I don't recall what year. Make sure it's adjusted to where you can see it, and that's not the problem.

So i played with the cable adjustment and got right up to the windshield and tried to look into the hub, but still couldnt see anything. the mirror seems to be moving fine when i play with the adjustment. I dont see any kind of light. shouldnt there be some kind of light that shines onto the mirror and then reflects it onto the windsheild? Also i couldnt fig. out how to get into the hub.

You can't see my HUD in the daylight when the sun is bright and the road surface in front of the car is light in color. I have wanted to put a piece of window tint just where the HUD reflects on the windshield, but the little lady doesn't want any part of it. I don't even know if it would work. - BC

oldman, look on the lower passenger side corner of your windshield. It will have the windshield info on it, and if it's a HUD windshield it will have HUD somewhere in that tag. If not, that's probably why you can't see during the day. I have similar issues in my SSEi as I don't have a HUD windshield ATM, as it was replaced before I got the car at some point.

Did you jiggle the brightness lever to try to get it to come back on? I bet the dimmer is dirty inside and making poor contact.

This may be it--though I don't know why it says head up display and backup camera.

You can check with the seller to ensure it will fit.
