i've been hunting an answer to this for a couple days now. i'm trying to find the fuel pump relay so i can get the pressure off the lines. everything i'm seeing is pointing to a panel behind the right side of the dash, but i have no idea as to how to access it.

Remove the passenger side Hush/Kick Panel and look up, you should see a series of Relays, one of these will be the fuel pump relay..

you have to remove the cover panel in the footwell under the dash. the fuse-relay panel is on the right side against the wall in the dash. you don't need to do this though, as soon as you break the seal removing the filter the pressure will go away. you can also just push the pin in the valve on the fuel rail to remove pressure. it looks like the valve on your car tires with a screw on cap. just have a rag over the valve when you press the pin to soak up the little gas the squirts out. the valve on your car should be on the back fuel rail, left side.

Forget the relay. Bleed the pressure at the rail and leave the key out of the car.

I was gonna say. Just bleed it at the rail. Honestly, I forgot to when I did the fuel filter on my car the last time, and got barely any spray at all.
