Ok so this has been going on for pretty much since I've had the car. It's not really an issue but I just thought if it was an easy cheap fix I would like to try something.

So when the car cools down or if it sits overnight its slow to start like I have to hold the key an extra second to start it.
Once it warms up it starts right up.

Is this normal? I was thinking of trying some seafoam in the gas?
Also I have remote start and usually when its warmed up the remote stater stays on an extra second too long whereas if its not warmed up the remote starter wont start the car

Any thoughts, ideas?

Try turning the key to ON without cranking for 3 seconds. Then turn to OFF and back to ON for 3 seconds. On the third time turn the key to CRANK. See if priming the fuel pressure helps the starting characteristics.

I'd also recommend after driving it, do a sniff test around the rear of the car by the passenger rear wheel for gas fumes from a corroded metal fuel line that's the pressurized line.

The priming didn't help. I can just deal with it but I was thinking of trying some seafoam but doesnt that foul out spark plugs and 02's.

Try a bottle of Gumout Regane, 3M Fuel System Cleaner, or a few bottles of Chevron Techron.

My Buick will take a second or so to start when it's really cold out. If the engine's warm, it'll start instantly.

Replacing the fuel pressure regulator helped it to start faster when cold. Adding a lower radiator hose heater lets it start halfway warmed up when it's cold outside.

I have to turn my key forward and wait for the 5 chimes to ring or my car will have trouble starting after sitting overnight.

Like I said its really no big deal just thought I'd post up and see what you guys had to say?

I have previously tried some kind of fuel injector cleaner. I have no clue what kind it was but I didn't really notice a huge difference. I just picked up a bottle of Seafoam.

Gonna do half and half between my car and the Jeep and see if that doesn't help both
