I'm talking about the spacers and springs in the accumulators only. Is is possible, and beneficial to install the pan portion of the Transgo kit in a 4T60e transmission?

They are not even close to compatible.

You WANT the transgo 4T60E Jr. shift kit. Sure it's a ton more difficult and time consuming to install, but it's FAR superior, and is actually a REAL shift kit. Many options to pick and choose from, it can be tuned for each particular shift including lockup.

OK, thanks.

I don't mind dropping the bottom pan, but when it comes to removing the axle and suspension components, I'm not sure I'm up to it. I guess it'll remain stock for now.

The Kit for the '60 is best left for a professional that has installed a few. It requires machining, drilling, tapping, etc. I have that kit in both of my Bonnevilles, and love them.

Thanks for you advice, it's well appreciated.

The only reason I'd install the kit is for durability and longevity. My wife's car has over 200000km on it, so I'll just wait until it needs a rebuild then have a shift kit installed at that time.

I hear that many people who have shifting troubles do a fluid change and install the pan portion of the kit to delay the more expensive work. I'll consider doing that next summer, but as you might see from my previous thread, I discovered my problems were simply ignition.
