Hey guys,
So for a while now my Bonneville has been stalling out at least once a week The rpm's tweak out for a few seconds then it stalls. If I play with the gas before the rpm's drop completely i can keep it from stalling. It happens at any time i can be going 5 or 45 mph, but most of the time it runs fine. Normally it will start right up but occasionally it takes 3 or 4 tries. The engine cranks but just wont turn over. I just had the fuel pump and lines replaced about 6 months ago so I'm pretty sure thats not the problem.
There is also a water leak coming from somewhere that drenches my floor and sometimes back seat. I'm not sure if this can be messing with the electrical or not but is annoying. If anyone can help or has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks, Seth

3.6 swap? Caddy CTS motor?

Just kidding! Welcome, and sad to hear that your car's being pissy.

Look at the posts for crank or cam position sensors. That may be your engine problem.

The leak needs its own topic. Check the rear wheel wells for rust. That's a common area to rust out in this generation. My Buick had a good-size hole in the rear passenger wheel well that left the rear floor soaked, and hosed an airbag module. It's fixed now after a couple hundred dollars.

This could be a lot of things of course, but my brother's 96 SE was doing the same thing and it was a bad fuel pressure regulator. Do you smell gas?

and again, this could be many things so it's hard to say for sure.

Are your battery cables tight and corrosion-free? Are your body and chassis grounds corroded? Those are simple things to check before starting anything else.
