This is starting to act up on my '99 olds eighty eight. No, it is not the key circuit, the module itself is intermittent. I have the correct resistor spliced in place near the module, still having the same issue. I've seen on the internet the homemade bypass modules that duplicate the pulse the fuel enable circuit needs to see (as well as the ground for the starter enable) but I want to hear from someone who has built and installed one successfully. Thanks. Mike

I will be a tad off topic here... But if you know anyone with an HP tuner, DHP or a Tech 2 you should be able to disable security and never have to deal with the issue again.. Just a thought

I believe on the 99 PCM you can have VTD Disabled in the PCM.. Its not hard to do.. Just have to have that special person with a tuner...lol

Both myself and a local have had to turn the VTD( Security ) off for the vehicle to start and run... For me I didn't have security to begin with and his system would not function with the newer PCM he used.. So we simply turn it off..
