I got this Bonnie about 8 months ago and have had repeated problems with the a/c actuator sticking, found this out after I replaced the climate control twice, still looking for the part, rockauto has for $64, trying to find one cheaper. Recently the tranny started making some noise, got a used one for $200 and will get that in this weekend. I have replaced the fuel pump and numerous other incidentals but still cannot figure out my last problem. Sometimes after I use the remote to lock the car, the alarm will go off later in the day, and beep and flash the lights. Any help on what may cause this, it is intermittent, but has woken my neighbors up at night and gotten me out of work to unlock it.

If you lock the car manually then the system won't turn on. Doesn't fix the problem but keeps the neighbors happy.

I'd suspect a faulty door pin switch, or maybe a trunk switch. I'm not sure if it's a mercury switch in the trunk or what.

Anyway, if any of the switches (or wires leading to the switches) contact ground while the security is armed, then the alarm will go off.
