My 92 SSE Is A Blast To Drive... I Love It!!! Thank You To The Pontiac Bonneville Club Gearheads It's Alive And I Wouldn't Have It Going If I Weren't For The Love Of The Other Bonneville Drivers... So I Just Filled The Tank Which The Gas Gauge Went To Empty With The Check Gauges Light Being On... I Put $20 7.4 Gallons and It Read Full But As Soon As I Topped It I Went To Empty... I Drove 90 Miles And It Started Reading Again But No Trust In The Gauge!!! The Light I Think Is Right But Hate To Be Walking... Is This A Problem To Other 92's Or Newer??? Gauge Or Sending Unit??? Is There A Way To Check The Sending Unit??? Thanks Again!!!

I think there is a resistor mod that can fix this without going into the fuel tank. It's been a while since I heard anything about it though, so I'm not certain on the details.

Although, do you still need/want to go in and replace the strainer to fix the stalling on right hand turns? Might be a decent time for a new pump/strainer/sending unit.
