So,

Seems to me the actuator got stuck. A/C runs fine, massive water coming out, nothing cold coming in, it's just a neutral temperature. Adjusting the electronic climate control from 60 to 90 does absolutely nothing at all, the temperature stays the same.

Thoughts? How to fix?

Update: Ok, with some searching I removed the glove box and see the arm and the actuator, it's stuck, won't move. I think I see how to get to it, but now I can't find one listed anywhere in any parts stores around here...am I missing something here?

I am having trouble getting to it...can I get some direction please?

Also, possibly a part number for GMPD?

Try the search feature using "air mix" as the subject - you should get a bunch of hits. willwren in the author line should bring up the redneck fix, and if you search "trialsnuts" (?) Stan has a great article with pix.

Doesn't look like too fun of a job eh?

So I have to take out my ECM and get at the unit from under the dash if I am correct?

Yes. Removing the passenger seat is almost necessary.

Luckily I'm a pretty small guy (5'7") and I have AL7's that go far back. Hopefully it'll be enough room.

Trust me... you are going to want to remove the seat.

Ughhh...don't tell me that...Every time I do that I wreck something, those seats weigh like 2x me lol.

I know I have most of the details at my disposal, but can you just give me a quick list of parts needed to be removed to get to this? I see something about the a/c control unit itself? Also the accumulator is on the heater core cover and comes off with it?

Yes, the heater core cover is the hard part. I had to peel back the carpet and the padding to get it out

I've done mine without removing the seats, just set something soft over the door sill and set something up to prop your butt and legs off to the side.

First time I did it the job took about 5 hrs, only because I had to go to Sears and get a thumb ratchet set, you are probably going to need it too to handle the screws on top of the actuator for removal/installation.

5 hours isn't bad....I am planning to give myself a full day for this.

While I am at this, my recirculator function has NEVER worked, the indicator comes on the ECC but never does a thing. Is it somewhere close where I'll be so I can combine the jobs or?

Unfortunately, I tried to do the work today and stopped. Getting the vacuum lines out from the HVAC alone broke a plastic clip which made me annoyed enough to realize best to pay someone else to do it, I'm not familiar with the job and don't feel like breaking things along the way, which, in the end, will make this project cost exactly the same as it would with the discounted labor rates I pay anyway. For a quick fix, I unhooked the arm from the blend door and moved it to hot so I have heat now.
