Hey people,

I started bleeding my brakes and got as far as the rear driver drum before I noticed the hub was spinning with the brake pedal depressed. There is a break in a line right above the bend under the airbox. Which line is which? There is fluid everywhere... it be a lot eaysier to just replace the affected area on the rear driver line. Also... if one line is busted would that affect all other lines pressure? Sorry for the dumb questions but I find myself standing in no mans land (again)

"Under the airbox" Is that the Air Filter Box??? Check the rubber brake hose that goes to the front left brake caliper? Yeah, if you have any break in the line you will get a significant drop in brake pressure.

Ok, not sure which line you are looking at with the break in it, since they are all up there. Got a photo of the leak you can share so we can id the line and which half of the brake system.

I also have to correct myself after checking the service manual for a '92. The ABS system is diagonally split, meaning the driver's side front and passenger side rear brakes are in the same plumbing, with a proportioning valve inline with the rear brake cylinder. The passenger side front and driver side rear brakes make up the other circuit, with a proportioning valve of it's own. (That's a departure from what I'm used to in GM land, where the fronts and rears were always on seperate circuits.)

So, starting at the master cylinder, you have two pipes leading down to the ABS valve assembly under the airbox. From the ABS valve, you have four pipes leading out. Two to the front calipers, and two along the frame under the body of the car to the two rear brake drums/disk calipers. The proportioning valves are in the brake lines right about under the back seat.
