What is the recommended tire pressure for 87 Bonneville, please? Tires are P205/75R14. Tire placard on driver's door is faded, and this information is omitted from owner's manual and shop manual.

I recommend figuring it out based on your tires currently fitted, as they are likely rated differently than the originals fitted stock.

For example, my '93 PA lists 32 psi on P205/70R15 tires. When I ran that, it was obviously not happy. Airing the front tires to 40psi (44 was the max for the tires) kept a happy medium.

I currently run P215/70R15s on that car at 38psi in front, 35 in rear.

And to clarify, I am sure there could be some complex equation that calculates the exact pressure based on the exact load, but I just did it by observation. At the lower pressure, it was obvious the tire was setting too low on the sidewall, and wore the shoulders of the tire excessively. When over-inflated, the ride was quite harsh, like the car was riding on a ring of concrete instead of nice squishy tires.

If I was guessing, I would start at the max for the tire rating, and keep backing it down until it 'feels right'. You'll know it when you hit it. Once you hit it, you can check what the pressure is, and should be set. Every time the car goes in for service, I request specific tire pressures, and it nails it every time if they do it right.
