A few days ago, a car wash brush smacked my mirror flat against the door (to the front - that is, whacked from behind). The car wash owner has graciously agreed to fix it, but I'm trying to help locate the parts required. Everything seems to be undamaged except the plastic trim that covers the rubber pad between the mirror housing and the door. New mirrors from all the on-line sources I can find are a different shape than my SSE heated, powered mirrors which are more angular or squared than all the replacements offered. ebay shows one RH unit which won't help, but is the correct shape. It's the only one I've seen which is the correct shape. I don't see any sign from any of them that the trim piece is included anyway. Searching for the trim piece alone is a waste of time. ebay shows one which might be right, but with only one view, I can't tell for sure.
Anyone know of a source for these things?

The mirrors you are describing don't sound consistent with stock units. Could you please post pictures of both sides so that we can see what you have and what's going on please?

ebay shows a RH mirror which is exactly correct except it is the wrong side for my problem. Link to that screen follows and is the only one on ebay like it. The others all look like the mirrors on my '90 Buick LeSabre which I recently let go.

Is this the one you are referring to?

Most insurance companies use this vendor:
http://www.car-part.com/index.htm

The search I did seemed to narrow down according to your criteria, and listed 5 sites in the US with a possible match.

Thanks Jolly. That is the one on ebay and as you can see it is the wrong side to be useful to me. I'm checking to see if one of the sites at Car-Part has what I need. Thanks again.
