Hi again..Seem to have a small weepage from the oil adapter housing we think. I have the oil, trans cooler lines on mine, from a 89 bonnie sse. Looking in the part book, I was confused as they show the housing is part # 24501466. Then part number 24500022 comes off of that, with a seal in between. to connect the cooler lines and oil filter itself.

My question is, does anyone know if the two parts seperate from each other, the housing part that has 4 bolts that attach to the block, and the part numbered 24500022, which has the two cooler lines that come off of it.

We rebulit a 3800 V6 Vin C FROM A 1990 Buick Reatta, which , at least the one I got salvage, didn't have the cooler line capable oil filter housing adapter, so we had to go with the one from my original engine that did have the cooler line option.Wheew..lot of verbage to explain this one..lol..

Once we carefully observe these parts with the car running, up on ramps, we will be able to tell hopefully where exactly the leak is coming from. Knowing about how this oil adapter can be configured, if the cooler line adapter seperates from the housing, will help jus fix it. Thanks..

It should, yes. I have or had one from a Series 2. The part the cooler lines came out of bolted to the actual adapter by the stud the oil filter screws onto and there's a flattened o-ring to seal it.

Looked like this:
