Hey guys :) . First, I'm glad to see the forum back with the people I'm used to seeing around here :headbang: second, does anyone have any tips to help me out on changing a fuel filter in my '91 SE? Thanks in advance. :)

Its a little bit of a PITA.... The filter will be on the drivers side tucked between all of the fuel lines... You will want a couple of wrenches to do the job... Possibly line wrenches... You pretty much won't get in there with anything else.. Other than that once you get under there the replacement will be straight forward :)

And yes it good to see you too :beerchug:

DEFINITELY use line wrenches. They are a cheap investment...

Be sure to spray the fittings down with penetrant before you try to wrench on them as they quite often rust together. Otherwise just jack up the rear drivers side of the car and look under the door and just before the rear wheel well and you'll see the filter. If the lines look rotted then you risk breaking them off altogether (common) so be sure you're able to source new lines if they look bad.

Thanks guys! I got it installed. I had to replace a section of the line because the filter and part of the line was rusted together almost.

SUPER common problem. Glad you got it fixed though :) How did you end up replacing the rotted line? Rubber fuel rated line or some freshly bent metal line?
